Director of Music and Liturgy
St. Ann & St. Joseph Catholic Parishes, Fremont, Ohio
The Director of Music and Liturgy is responsible for facilitating the worship life of the parishes by promoting musical excellence and by collaborative leadership with clergy, staff, and other team members to plan and execute parish liturgies and music. The Director must be able to organize, plan, and execute a comprehensive plan that forms parishioners in their faith and allows all to encounter Jesus Christ in the depth and beauty of the sacred liturgy. Major duties include weekend Masses, school Masses, funerals and weddings, and other occasional parish liturgies, as well as coordinating liturgical ministers, liturgical environment, and the audio/visual system in the churches.
Top Qualifications:
- Skilled in pipe organ, piano, and vocal, with the ability to direct a choir from the bench
- Able to read, interpret, and play traditional and contemporary music
- Need to direct, recruit, and implement various instrumental and vocal ensembles of all ages
- Familiarity and appreciation of Catholic liturgy and a heart for worship
